Two to Tango

Like I stated in the last post, I'm going to make a quilt for my friend's birthday in September. After lots of thought and planning, I finally decided what I wanted it to look like.

Here it is! I'm so in love with this design. When I was trying to come up with a design, I thought I would never find anything that would be perfect enough. But then I saw a log cabin quilt and I knew it was what I was looking for.

The left side is obviously the top. It's going to use a patchwork of blacks and grays with various reds and whites in the centers. The back is something I'm extra proud of. The lines are an abstract representation of the basic of Tango (for follows). I don't plan on telling him what the lines mean. I hope he can figure it out on his own though.

I'm not far in to the quilt so far as of yet, but I have bought quite a bit of fabric though. I think I'm set on the black (for the top) and the white, but I still need a bunch of red (for both the top and back). Here's what I have so far:

Blacks/ Grays

Whites

Reds
